This is a review of my 2015 Kawasaki Teryx 2 800

The good:

Gas mileage is really impressive
Nice comfortable bucket seats
Extremely reliable (so far)
Plenty of storage

The bad:

Ride quality could be better
Power and top speed are somewhat lacking
Cv boot covers are almost nonexistent

I have been riding since the early 1990's and owned my first ATV in 1998.
I have ridden many other brands but previously only owned Polaris, Until this year.

Edit: Not sure why the image is upside down.. odo says 1511

Im at almost 500 miles on my '15 and its going strong. Been to multiple mud parks and a couple of rocky areas. Other than needing better armor, I have been happy.

as far as machine, I wish they could be a bit quieter.

Funny I was thinking of posting something like this as well. My 15 Teryx has 1300miles on it and overall I'm very pleased with it. The only "problem" I've had is the steering pulling to one side a bit, but I believe I have that figured out and its not Kawasaki's problem, yet to be 100% sure though. Regardless I'm still happy.

Pros:

Decent fuel economy/range - I typically get 130-140 miles to a tank with mixed riding
Stock tires are pretty good for OE
Very good bucket seats, ride all day and not get sore
TONS of storage
Reliable and Durable - 3 yr warranty to boot, hell yeah!
Awesome shocks - I have mine dialed in to handle and ride how I like it, didn't take much messing around either

Cons:

NVH is borderline unacceptable compared to other SxS - dynamat did help this a bit though
Belt change and clutch servicing shouldn't be so difficult. I haven't had any issues but I don't look forward to servicing the clutches or changing a belt, especially in the woods
Power level is acceptable but another 10hp would be perfect, at least up the speed limiter to 60mph
Summer riding can get hot around the console area, some type of better heat management would be nice. On the flip side its like having a heated cab when going on fall hunting tours, takes the chill off
I would like to see better underbelly protection and factory winch wiring since this is a $17k machine

Any regrets? Absolutely not, again overall I'm very happy with this rig. I plan on keeping it for a long time.

2014 Teryx LE 1000 Miles

Here is my list:

Pros:
Engine braking through the belt drive is excellent.
Gas mileage is excellent
entry and exit to seats is great. Not falling in to a seat
4wd and Diff lock work really well.

Cons:
LOUD, LOUD, LOUD
Fox shocks are stiff as a rock
Plastic front wheel wells are weak

What I did:

Added METAL front wheel inner fenders.
Ordered Bandit Shocks
Removing Plastic Roof for a Canvas Roof to (hope) reduce Noise Level
Wearing hearing protection until I can get the roar damped out.

2015 t4 Been really pleased with this machine. The biggest complaint is the shocks, shit canned those for some Bandits and it's AMAZING. 0 problems in 1300 miles since May purchase. New ITP Ulttracross 28x10x12 tires and it totaly works like it should have new. Will post pics as soon as the receiver hitch mount front/rear winch is done.

I have a 2014 and put bandit shocks on it. It made the ride incredible. No more bouncing all over at the smallest bump! I also put a JBS clutch kit in for more torque and more
Power all around. I tried other clutch kits which were hundreds of dollars and offered minimal difference. JBS clutching was not only affordable but actually worked.

15 Teryx2 @ 1,100 miles.

The only complaint I have is this beast is LOUD!. Lots of gear and engine noise. Kawi should investigate a different gear angle (hellical?), and muzzle that engine!

Other than that, it has been flawless, but I'm easy on the machine, primarily riding USFS roads and trails here in SW Colorado with Howard Leight foamies firmly installed.

Thanks for the Note. I am keeping the roof for now. The sound source is still an issue. The whole drivetrain that is.

They have a 6 month warranty on seals and manufacturing defects. The life time warranty is on the Eibach springs.

I now have around 300 miles on my new 2015 T2. Going to service for the first time next week when all my service parts come in. Mine has exceeded all expectations I had for it.

Positive thoughts:
Fuel mileage is incredible
Engine braking is great
Very comfortable cockpit, slide in and slide out. No more falling and climbing out
Very responsive handling on the throttle and off
The storage is a dream come true
Many more...

Not so Positive:
Can have somewhat loud engine roar
The back-lash clankity clank noise in the drive train is my most negative
The angle of the foot feed compared to the seat makes my foot tired at times
Fox shocks are a little stiff and will have to work with them some

The clanking noise referenced about can be annoying. Every other T2 rider has told me it is normal and not to convince myself it is broken. AND, can be reduced somewhat with good throttle control and in time I won't even hear it.

IMHO, it is so far advanced over the 2012 50" 800 RZR I had, I am amazed every time I ride it...MD

6 months in on my 2015 T2.

No power or top end? You kidding??????? Wow. I hit 47 on a paved stretch I HAVE to go on to get from one end of our deer lease to the other......no other way to get there. So you wanna go faster than that? Seriously? Scares me to death, but it does it. And no matter how fast I've gone, if I punch the accelerator, it goes faster. If you want more than that, get a Chevy.

The clanking noise when shifting or taking off sometimes is annoying. Dealer says it's fine, no problems, but no clue why it does it.

Storage, speed, torque, capacity, pulling power, looks, handling, four wheeling ease, all huge pluses.

Loud? Yeah.......about .98308 as loud as my buddy's old Rhino. Only slightly more loud than another buddy's new Honda.......but then his won't go over 32 no matter what he does.

No idea if there's a better one out there, and less interest in finding out.

Ready for my first deer season, when it gets the real workout from now till first of the year........mud, hauling, pulling, daily grind through tough sledding........ and I expect nothing but awesomeness.
