Mercedes B-Class dashboard

As you'd expect of a Mercedes, the inside of the B-Class is luxurious and attractive. Not only is the interior good to look at, but it's also very spacious, with the tall body affording plenty of headroom and rear passengers benefitting from lots of legroom.

Equipment

There are three trim levels to choose from when buying a Mercedes B-Class: entry-level SE, mid-range Sport and top-of-the-range AMG Line. Thanks to Mercedes' upmarket image and a starting price that's higher than many other cars in this class, standard equipment is good on all B-Class models.

SE cars feature 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a seven-inch tablet display, a CD multimedia system, a reversing camera and man-made leather upholstery. Moving up to the Sport model gets you 17-inch alloy wheels, twin sports exhaust pipes, an interior lighting package, rain-sensing wipers and a multifunction steering wheel.

The AMG Line trim gives the car an even sportier feel thanks to 18-inch alloy wheels, an AMG bodykit, lowered suspension, AMG sports pedals and steering wheel plus upgraded upholstery of man-made leather and microfiber with contrasting red stitching.

Options

There are numerous ways of increasing the luxury and the amount of equipment in your B-Class. Options include different alloy-wheel designs, upgraded upholstery, cruise control with a variable speed limiter, a panoramic glass sunroof, privacy glass and keyless go.

There are also three equipment packages called Executive, Premium and Premium Plus. The Executive pack includes parking assistance, heated seats and automatically dimming and folding mirrors. The Premium pack adds LED headlights and sat nav, while the Premium Plus includes a larger tablet display, the panoramic glass sunroof and dual-zone climate control on top of everything included in the Executive and Premium packages.

A Driving Assistance package includes extra driving and safety aids, while there are also three styling packages called Night, Exclusive and AMG Exclusive.
